Pain in the Back: Hurts so bad

Pain in the Back: Hurts so bad

Few things in life are more annoying than nagging back pain. The pain can be mild or excruciating for us while we pursue a range of innocuous activities such as walking down the street, working at a desk or bending over to tie a shoelace. We are invariably attached to our back for better or for worse and can’t really make a move without involving it. So when back pain strikes, it is almost impossible to ignore. The pain can become all encompassing and can lead to unwanted stress, fatigue and even depression. But wait. Let’s back up. There are things you can do to soothe the pain and help to strengthen your sore back.

Back Again: The cost of back pain
The diagnosis of back pain is the most common cause of job-related disability and costs upwards of $50 billion a year to treat, according to the National Institutes of Health.1 It is estimated that back pain affects 80% of Americans at some point in their lives.2 Much of the time there isn’t an obvious reason for the pain, which can be frustrating for the person trying to negotiate chronic discomfort. Some common causes of back pain are nerve and muscular problems and arthritis. In their pain, many people turn to pharmaceuticals like muscle relaxers or painkillers such as Ibuprofen or other NSAID’s (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs), but these treatments can come with sometimes dangerous side effects while not working to fix the problem, only to mask the symptoms. Plus some of these pain killers may have addictive properties.

Back to basics
But there are other treatments that have proven helpful in alleviating chronic back pain, one important method being exercise. Exercise keeps the muscles warm and limber, which can aid flexibility and help with the uncomfortable feeling of back tightness. Another positive component is that exercise helps to increase muscle strength and that in turn can stimulate repair of the troubled area. It is suggested that to start you only very gradually increase the amount of conditioning, i.e. weight training, to avoid injuring the area and also to mitigate any resulting pain as muscles become more fortified. As they say, “If it hurts, don’t do it.” Other, perhaps more passive forms of alternative therapy for back pain include massage, which is a very pleasant, relaxing way to loosen up sore muscles, chiropractic treatment and acupuncture. Of course if back pain is severe or debilitating it is highly recommended that you see a physician or a health care professional for a proper diagnosis. Acute back pain can be indicative of other health problems.

Back Payment: Nutritional supplements for pain
There are several supplements from Solanova that can actually help with pain and inflammation while repairing and strengthening damaged joints and connective tissue naturally. Super Glucosamine® Plus is ideal to take for arthritis pain and other joint discomforts. Glucosamine is a natural component of healthy cartilage that tends to diminish with age. Super Glucosamine® contains Glucosamine sulfate and other bone strengthening extracts for maximum effectiveness and can help to reverse age-related cartilage loss and aid joint repair.

NexreliefTM is a safe, natural supplement that helps to relieve chronic pain. It is a very powerful, natural pain reliever that inhibits the Cox-2 enzyme that causes inflammation but does not impede the important Cox-1 enzyme that protects the stomach lining. NexreliefTM has no addictive narcotic effects nor does it adversely affect kidney function like NSAID’s. It is the new improved version of Nexrutine® which was voted one of the top ten natural pain relievers by Consumer’s Health Digest. Natural pain relief is within reach.

Taking good care of yourself, getting enough sleep, exercising and making sure you’re consuming the right kind of pain relievers can all contribute to a healthier back and a happier life. Now that’s something to do back flips over.
